M45 - 1000mm fl

Date:             1-26-2002

Location:        Seven Sisters Observatory

Equipment:    83mm f6 refractor, G11, ST4, Canon F1, 2X extender, TT III

Conditions:     Very Bright Full Moon - Wispy Clouds

Film:               Kodak PJ 400 Unhypered

Exposure:       10 minutes

Comments:     This shot shows the full frame of the 35mm exposure at 1000mm fl.  I used a Canon 2X telextender to double the FL of the scope.  I started to notice some blue halo's around the bright stars at this focal length and the frame was very vignetted by the extender.  Still - this can be a valuable tool to get a larger image scale on some shots.
