Hyades and Pleiades

Location:      Tucson Arizona - Empire Ranch Observing Site      

Equipment:   Canon F-1, 50mm f1.4 lens set at f2.8, Equatorial Camera Platform manually guided with an Orion Short Tube 80.

Conditions:   Outstanding, dark and clear.

Film:             Kodak Ektapress PJ400

Exposure:     10 minutes

Comments:    I am constantly amazed at just how much the red nebulosity shows up on this type of astrophoto.  As an example note the California Nebula at the top on the picture.
