The Lagoon Nebula - July 9, 2011
|
I finally got a clear night after the moon set. I got up at 1 AM and setup the rig shooting through the 8" Newt and guiding with the 66SD. Sky conditions were pretty good but the object got pretty low and I had to discard the later sub-frames. I eventually lost the guide star - either in the horizon much or the trees. Still - I got 80 minutes of exposure and I was able to do something with it.
