South Milky Way

Date:            February 1999

Location:      Echo Canyon Parking Lot, Chiricahua Mountains Arizona

Equipment:  Canon F-1, 24mm f2.8 lens set to f4, Equatorial Camera Platform manually guided using an Orion Short Tube 80.

Conditions:   Best I have seen - lots of dust in the air.

Film:             Kodak Ektapress PJ400

Exposure:     10 Minutes

Comments:   It was wonderful to see the outward Milky Way visible all the way to the horizon.  This is usually not visible at all in Michigan.  The bright star is Sirius.
